Privacy Policy

This policy applies when you use the LandMyRole website, browser extension, and related resume and job-search services. By using the service, you acknowledge the practices described here.

• Account information: your name, email address, profile picture, and account identifier when you sign in with Google.
• Content you provide: resumes, job descriptions, cover letters, interview material, preferences, and edits you choose to create or save.
• Technical information: basic request, device, browser, security, diagnostic, and error information needed to operate and protect the service.
• Website analytics: limited page-view, referral, browser, device, and location information processed through Vercel Analytics. Resume and job content is not included in website analytics.

We do not sell personal information or use resume content for targeted advertising.

The website works without an account and stores documents in your browser. When you sign in, LandMyRole can mirror your documents to our hosted database so they are available across devices. Browser storage remains specific to the website origin and browser profile where it was created.

The extension stores sign-in tokens and preferences in extension-only browser storage. Cached job analyses are session-scoped and are cleared when the browser session ends.

The extension reads a job page when you ask it to read, score, or tailor that posting. It does not sell browsing history or continuously record pages in the background. Job text, the selected resume, and your requested edits may be sent to LandMyRole services to provide the feature you activated.

The permissions and extension-specific data practices are described in our Extension Privacy Policy.

• Provide resume editing, matching, scoring, tailoring, and interview tools.
• Authenticate users, synchronize documents, and protect account boundaries.
• Operate, debug, secure, and improve the service.
• Respond to support, privacy, and deletion requests.

When you request an AI-assisted feature, the resume, job posting, instructions, and related context needed for that request may be sent to an AI service provider. We do not send your Google profile information as part of an AI request unless that information is already present in content you submit.

LandMyRole does not use your resumes, job postings, or Google account data to train its own AI models. Generated results may be inaccurate, so you should review them before use.

Google sign-in gives LandMyRole access only to the basic account information you authorize for authentication, such as your name, email address, profile picture, and account identifier. LandMyRole does not request access to content from your other Google products.

• Google user data is used only to create, identify, and secure your account.
• We do not use, transfer, or disclose Google user data to train, retrain, or improve generalized or non-personalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
• You can revoke LandMyRole's access at any time from your Google Account security settings.

LandMyRole personnel do not read or access Google user data except when you expressly request support and authorize that access, when limited access is necessary to investigate security or abuse, or when required by law. Any human access is restricted to what is necessary for that purpose.

LandMyRole's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We use hosting, authentication, database, website analytics, document-processing, and AI service providers to operate requested features. They receive only the information needed to perform their service and process it under their own contractual and privacy obligations.

We may disclose information when required by law, needed to protect users or the service, or involved in a merger, financing, acquisition, or transfer of the business. We do not disclose personal information to data brokers or advertisers.

Browser-only content remains until you delete it, clear site data, or remove the extension. Signed-in cloud content is retained while your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. You can delete individual documents in the product. To request deletion of your account and all associated cloud data, email support@landmyrole.com, preferably from the email address associated with your account.

After a verified deletion request, data is removed from active systems unless retention is required for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal compliance. Residual copies may remain temporarily in protected backups until those backups expire.

We use access controls, encrypted transport, and account-scoped database policies. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so you should also protect your account, browser profile, and device.

Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, export, restriction, or deletion of personal information. You may also revoke Google access, delete individual documents in the product, clear browser data, or uninstall the extension. Contact support to submit a privacy request.

LandMyRole is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as the product or legal requirements change. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
