LandMyRole
Browser Extension Privacy
The LandMyRole extension checks the page you are on for a job posting, entirely inside the page and with no network request. It reads and transmits a posting only when you activate a job-reading or tailoring feature.

Data the extension handles
The extension can capture the visible job title, employer, description, requirements, and page URL from the active tab. It also uses the resume you select, your LandMyRole account identifier, and the edits or tailoring actions you request.
Why permissions are requested
- activeTab and scripting: read the current job page after your action and place the Tailor button beside supported job controls.
- sidePanel: show job analysis and tailoring tools without replacing the posting.
- storage: keep your connection, preferences, and short-lived analysis state.
- tabs: associate the panel with the job tab you selected and open the correct editor page.
- alarms: perform bounded maintenance such as clearing stale extension state.
- site access on every site you visit:a job posting can be on any site, including an employer’s own careers page, so the extension checks every page you open for one. That check happens entirely in the page: it reads the address, a few page tags and the page’s own headings, makes no network request, and sends nothing anywhere. Nothing from a page is transmitted until you ask for that job to be read. You can remove site access, or limit it to chosen sites, in your browser’s extension settings.
Storage and transmission
Sign-in tokens and preferences are stored in extension-only browser storage. Cached analyses are kept in session storage and clear when the browser session ends. When you request analysis or tailoring, relevant job and resume text is transmitted over HTTPS to LandMyRole and the service providers needed to complete that request.
The extension does not sell personal data, use job or resume content for advertising, or collect browsing history unrelated to the feature you activated.
Control and deletion
You can disconnect by signing out, remove stored extension data from browser extension settings, revoke site access, or uninstall the extension. Delete cloud documents in LandMyRole or contact support to request account deletion.
Limited Use
Use of information received from browser and Google APIs is limited to providing and improving the user-facing features described here. Human access is restricted to security, support, legal, or service-operation needs.
